I agree with Frank. Hot metal and cold water do not mix. You can lose cooling fins and crack the head very easily. I've seen it happen on dirt bikes when they go through a stream.
I used a pressure washer lots of times on my '87 Savage and have a couple of times on my wife's '96. No problems.
